Va a Panama?

So today marks one month before our big day! I was just thinking...in one month I'll be putting on my wedding dress and walking down the aisle toward the rest of my life with the man of my dreams!!! Now that's exciting!
In other news...this morning Lorin called me to wake me up from a tree stand on my parents' farm. He's becoming quite the hunter!?! I woke up in time to finish packing and get to my one class for the day before we leave for Panama. Every 90 days we have to leave Costa Rica for 72 hours and then come back in to renew our visas. So we're going to spend a good 16 plus hours on a bus and hang out in Panama! I still have a hard time believing that this is my life! It's so cool to me that being obedient to the call of God can be so much fun! Pray for safe travels and an easy time getting across the border into Panama. Can't wait to post pictures!

A Day at the Park

Today I spent the day at a park here in Costa Rica. Some friends invited us to hang out by pool and enjoy a picnic. I played soccer for the first time in my life! Being the goalie was more fun than I expected. Not too much got passed me! Our game was ended due to a storm, but we moved it inside to a giant sandbox. We all had a great time and came home tired and filthy! Hanging out with the kids was a blast. They're a good reminder of how simple things can be!

The Big 24!

My mom came down to Costa Rica to be with me last Friday and I saw her off with a tearful goodbye on Thursday. Our time was short, but sweet! My 24th birthday was Wednesday and it turned out to be one of my most memorable birthdays ever! All of my teachers and classmates went above and beyond to make my day special! It was so good to have my mom here! She made things feel more like home around here! My neighbors, the Pruitts, have become some of my greatest friends! They're in language school as well and will be heading to Guatemala. I feel like I've become part of the family. Mom and I went to the beach last weekend and we came home to a birthday decorated apartment and a homemade apple pie! Thanks Pruitts and Katie! You really made the week awesome! On my birthday, I had a birthday dinner here with friends and then Mom and I sat on my bed and Skyped with the rest of my family and Lorin! They even had a birthday cake there! It's a great technological age for missionaries! Mom and I did some more wedding planning and really made some progress! The countdown continues... School is going well and life in Costa Rica only gets more exciting as the days go on.

Ministry in Marriage

Hello everyone and welcome to our blog! We have created this blog to tell you of the great things God is doing in the lives of those we are serving to and in our lives as well! We are living the blessed life! Rebecca and I are so excited to start our marriage on an amazing journey! We will be heading to Costa Rica to continue/start language school. Rebecca has been at CINCEL (Assemblies of God Word Missions Language School) for a few months now and is enjoying language school and learning something new everyday. School starts at 8:15 AM and ends at 2:45 PM. Midterm grades came out a week ago and she has 3 A's and a B+! So proud of her! I am looking forward to beginning language school in January! I knew taking French in high school was a mistake! I have never been out of the country, so it's going to be a huge change, but I am looking forward to it and ready for the challenge!

We are so excited to begin our lives together! Our wedding is December 19th at our home church, Grace Assembly of God. We are in love and through this time we have had apart we have had the opportunity to seek out God's will for our lives separately and what He would desire for our lives together. We know that marriage is one of God's greatest tools for ministry and we look forward to serving Him in El Salvador with Don and Terri (King's Castle Ministries) and beyond. God has ordered our steps and has given us guidance to put us where we are today.

Well, right now Rebecca's mom is visiting her in Costa Rica and they are spending quality time together! I really wish I could be there! I miss her a lot! Rebecca's birthday is this Wednesday...the big 24!

Please keep us in your prayers as we are getting the wedding together, fundraising, finishing up school this semester, and preparing to leave together! Thank you for prayers and support! Have a blessed week!
